A brief history of Pam Dunne

I was born and educated in Wales. I have a Diploma in Education from London University, majoring in Art and Design with a focus on Fabric and Collage. I taught in Primary and Secondary Schools in Greater London.

I emigrated to Australia in 1977 where I studied Art in evening school. Later living in Northern Beaches of Sydney I achieved a credit in the  Certificate of Fine Arts in Seaforth TAFE. At this stage I painted in oils and acrylic.  Ten years later I moved North to live on a rural property and taught  in Tuncurry Primary School.

After retiring in 2006 I returned to art this time adding water colour to my technique. I am an active member of the Great Lakes Art Society (GLAS) in Forster. I have been a committee member for 10 years and the convener for Life Drawing classes.

I have expanded my knowledge attending various art workshops  with: Julie Goldspink, Sandi Lear. Lorraine Lewitska, Wayne Barry, Chan Dissanayake, Barry and Lucy McCann.

My art is influenced by Nature and Travel in a variety of subjects e.g landscape, Fauna and flora and abstract. My work has been exhibited and sold throughout the local area for many years.
